MEET OUR STAFF
Brian McIntyre, MS, LMBT
Brian McIntyre brings a unique approach to massage with his training in mental health (MS Community Counseling - UNC Greensboro 2003) and massage (Body Therapy Institute 2009). He has increased his capabilities through completing continuing education for Medical Massage and now provides a hybrid of deep relaxation, mental health therapy and solution focused work for treatment of specific ailments.
Mary is experienced with working in the health-care
industry. Mary worked in the Nutritional aspect of her field
for over 25 years in North Carolina and 10 years previously
in her home state of Illinois. This work gave her the
opportunity to work with clients from a wide range of
backgrounds and ages. She decided to expand her career in
health-care by attending The Body Therapy Institute for
Massage Therapy. Mary graduated in August 2009 and
joined the team of McIntyre Massage and Bodywork. Mary
is a key component as office manager and works with
promotional, on-site seated massage as well as office
appointments. She specializes in Swedish massage which is a softer, flowing touch using a variety of techniques promoting relaxation. Additionally she is able to do massages with hot stones for increased effectiveness. She will be emphasizing her work with the elderly population and conditions they face along with Hydrotherapy. Mary has an Associates Degree in Stable Management from Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois and plans to become certified in therapeutic animal massage.
